Handcrafted Fordite Dangle Earrings.

This pair of earrings was created using two small pieces for handout Fordite which originated in a Dodge/Jeep plant in the USA.

These earrings are handmade from start to finish in our small studio in south Wales, no two will ever be the same.

The Fordite pieces are approximately 15mm long and 6mm wide. The drop of each earring is approximately 20mm.

The colours on the front of these earrings are mainly metallics with a wider stripe of metallic red being broken up by white and metallic blue. The centre spot of colour is a non-metallic olive green. The back of these earrings as been left unpolished to allow a different pattern on of red and white to be on show.

*what is Fordite?

Fordite is cured excess car paint which accumulates during the car painting process. This is cut and polished to create unique up-cycled cabochons. Fordite is a colourful re-cycled alternative to traditional mined/excavated gemstones.
